Three City of Glasgow Swim Team members have recently returned from the Paralympic Trials in Sheffield. Louis Lawlor had an excellent meet, achieving the Consideration Time for the Paralympic Games when finishing 2nd in the MC 100m Backstroke. Louis also had good swims in the 100m Freestyle, 200m Freestyle, 200m IM and 100m Butterfly. Gavin Roberts had an excellent competition, racing to big personal best times in the 100m Freestyle and 100m Breaststroke, the latter of which he was delighted to place 3rd among an all Scottish podium. Andrew Mullen swam to 4th place in the heats of the MC 50m Butterfly and also contested the 50 Freestyle although he was somewhat disappointed with his 15th place finish.

Congratulations to all three boys on qualifying for this high level event.

Confirmation of places on the various international teams for events this summer won't come for another few weeks so we must remain patient and see what happens in due course.
